Cat’s Attempt to Build a TV Fails Miserably

Cat’s Attempt to Build a TV Fails Miserably

According to reports, a local cat attempted to build a television from scratch today, “just to see if he could.”  The verdict?  He could not.  Sources tell The Fluffington Post that the “television” was essentially just a box inside which the cat acted out scenes from his favorite shows.

“I’m not sure what he was thinking,” said one witness.  "He doesn’t know anything about electronics.  I guess I’m pretty impressed that he was able to build a wooden box, though. I mean, he doesn’t have thumbs.“

Rabbit Defends Controversial ‘Bridge to Nowhere’

Dubbed the “bridge to nowhere” by local media, the controversial public works project connects one patch of grass in the backyard to a similar patch of grass a few inches away.  The project has come under fire by media pundits and watchdog groups who call the bridge frivolous and a waste of the nearly $3.7 million it cost to construct.

Now prominent businessbunny and philanthropist Walter Hoppington has come out in favor of the project.  "The bridge is a vital link between two distinct backyard economies,“ reads a statement from Hoppington’s spokesperson.  "Plus, it’s really fun to climb on. ”

Bulldog Plans Action to Save Local Park

Bulldog Plans Action to Save Local Park

A politically active English bulldog named Griffin is organizing a rally tonight at the local dog park in an effort to save the park from destruction.  The public park, which has been facing years of neglect due to budgetary shortfalls, is set to be demolished and sold to private investors in October unless the city can come up with the $1.5 million needed to save it.

“Griff isn’t going to stand idly by while his favorite community spot is turned into a high rise apartment building,” said Save the Dog Park campaign spokesperson Andy Lipton.  "If he can get 1500 signatures on his petition by Sunday, we should be able to force a stay on demolition that will at least buy us some time to figure out how to raise the money we need to save the park.“

The rally starts at 8pm.

Cat Sets New Record in ‘Halo: Reach’

Gracie, a cat from Portland, OR, set a house record in Halo: Reach today, completing the game alone in just under seven hours.  According to sources, she immediately took a celebratory nap.

“She’s really psyched about Halo 4 in November,” said housemate Tony Walker.  "Gracie’s played back through the entire series.  She even mastered the Halo theme song in Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock.  She’s a huge fan.“
