Anti-Dog Shaming Movement Picks Up Steam
Earlier this week, The Fluffington Post brought you the story of a brave chihuahua named Savannah who is fighting the popular dog shaming meme by posting “pup positive” images to the web. Now it seems that her fledgling movement is picking up steam.
Photos of dogs with equally positive messages, like the one above of Elvis, a beagle mix from Morehead, KY, have begun to pop up around the Internet.
“Dog shaming exemplifies everything that is wrong with this great nation,” said Tori Ambrose, a spokesperson for Savannah’s cause. “It is a shameful practice – shameful for the humans involved – and one that can be deeply damaging to a young puppy’s psyche.”
Savannah has started an online petition to collect signatures to stop this practice.

Cat Lands Home Decorating Show on HGTV
British interior designer and 6-year-old cat Rosie has scored a new reality decorating show on the Home and Garden network. Tentatively titled Rosie Gets Real, the show deals with families on a budget who want to makeover a room, but don’t have the money for their dream amenities.
“It’s about bargain hunting and making a little bit of style go a long way in the space,” says executive producer Kevin Roberts. “Rosie is brilliant at this – she can make Walmart curtains look like they came from Versailles. And the camera really loves her.”
Six episodes have already been shot, and the show is scheduled to launch in November.

Kitten-Puppy Face-Off Drags Into 5th Hour
Though they have never actually met face-to-face, the Maeby the cat, who rules over 124 Elm St. and Harry the dog, whose dominion includes 126 Elm St., are mortal enemies. The two have been locked in a stare-down for five solid hours, according to sources.
“It’s unlikely that we’ll see a conclusion to this episode any time soon,” said Tamron Khalifa, senior Washington Post pet politics analyst. "Maeby and Harry both have legitimate claims on the border area between their two estates. There has been tension here for generations.“
The current flare up came after Harry’s favorite ball was accidentally thrown into Maeby’s yard and the cat refused to return it, invoking the ancient writ of "finders keepers.”
