Puppy Masters High-Fives

It was a long time coming, but Luke the puppy has finally figured out the high five. 

“For months he was just flailing his little paws about,” reports Tony Montazzo, a source close to the situation. “But then last night about eight o’clock he just put it all together. Now he’s a high-fiving machine.”

According to Montazzo, Luke literally won’t stop – he high-fives everyone he sees. 

“He’s probably doled out about twenty paw slaps since last night,” said Montazzo. “I keep telling him not to do it so much. It’ll lose significance. But, he’s excited. He learned a new trick and it’s hard to contain him.”

Boston Terrier to Hold Open Office Hours

Cookie, a Boston Terrier from Waterloo, Canada, has announced that she will hold open office hours every Friday from 11am until 3pm.

“This a good way for Cookie to get to know her employees better,” said Margaret Weiss, who has worked for the dog for three years. “As the company has grown, it has been harder for Cookie to get to know all the new hires. This a way to make sure that good ideas can get heard and that everyone feels included at the company.”

Puppy Called for Penalty: Chewing the Ball

Any hopes that Ned might make the postseason roster on the semi-pro basketball team he plays for were dashed yesterday. The puppy was called for a technical foul after chewing up the ball during the team’s penultimate game of the regular season.

This was the seventh time the dog has been called for such a penalty this season.

“Seven is too many,” said coach Fran Winters. “Ned is a good player – he has a great post presence – but we just can’t have a ball chewer on the team in the playoffs. It’s a liability.”

Ned will still travel with the team, but he won’t suit up.
