DIY: How To Build a Fort Out of a Litter Box Cover

Nigel, a cat from Fort Lee, NJ, has come up with an ingenious way to repurpose an old litter box cover into a kitty-sized club house. The DIY project uses just simple, household materials: a cardboard box, some scissors, a bath towel and the cover.

“It doesn’t even involve any glue or nails,” said Jenna Lindhold, a close friend of Nigel. “You just have to know the correct way to stack the components and where to cut the box.”

Nigel has released the specifications and instructions for the fort as a $0.99 e-book download on Amazon Kindle. If he makes enough money, he plans to build an addition using an old hamper and some leftover Christmas tinsel.

Bunny Does Pilates Every Morning

Whiplash the bunny is fanatical about his health. He drinks a carrot and kale green smoothie every morning and does Pilates three times each week.

“Whiplash started coming to me a couple of years ago,” said Jorja Gribben, a Pilates and Yoga instructor at the local YMCA. “He was feeling a bit doughy back then, and we really worked on strengthening his core.”

Now Whiplash is one of Gribben’s best students and most active adherents of the lifestyle.

“Because of that rabbit blabbing all around town about how great Pilates is and looking so fabulous, I’ve had to add two more classes to my schedule,” said Gribben. “Not that I’m complaining!”

Puppy Stuck in Beanbag Chair for Hours

Loshi, a Shiba Inu pup from Grand Rapids, MI was rescued on Tuesday morning after spending nine hours trapped in a beanbag chair.

The dog reportedly sat down on the chair just after 10pm to watch a little New Girl on Netflix before bed. But according to authorities, it wasn’t until after he’d watched two episodes that he realized he’d sunk too far into the chair and was trapped.

“I heard him bark a few times,” said roommate Cam Lawson, “but I figured he was just watching basketball and getting excited or something. So I closed my door. I feel terrible.”

It was Lawson who found Loshi still stuck in the chair the next morning and called for help.

Paramedics extracted the dog, who was tired but unharmed, just after 7am local time.
