Dog Is Extremely Excited for Upcoming Car Ride

Reports are trickling in that an area dog named Echo is very excited for an upcoming ride in the car.

“We’re hearing that she’s been pacing back and forth in front of the car for the past hour, wagging her tail,” said police dispatcher Kyle Bradley. “We can’t comment on the validity of that report, but we’ve dispatched an officer to the scene.”

The Fluffington Post can confirm that Echo is scheduled for a car ride later this morning.

Puppy Battles Social Anxiety Disorder

A puppy named Rambo has made strides in recent days with what his doctors have dubbed “mild social anxiety.”

“The mere sight of a new person or another dog causes him to curl up in a ball and hide his face,” says Charles Patchette, a canine psychologist. “A little positive reinforcement therapy should do the trick.”

But detractors aren’t convinced Rambo has a real problem.

“He’s a puppy,” says Shirley Carter, a source close to the situation. “He’s just a little shy, that’s all.”

Area Pup Has Seen ‘Star Wars’ 72 Times

A local miniature dachshund puppy named Winston has now seen Star Wars a record 72 times. Because the original Episode IV: A New Hope has not been in theaters during his lifetime, Winston’s viewing has mainly been via Blu-Ray and television.

“72 times doesn’t really seem like a lot when you own it on disc,” said friend Stephanie Bowman. “But it’s a dachshund record by a wide margin. That’s over 6 days of Star Wars watching, which in human time is almost 44 days. That’s insane.”

According to Bowman, the dog is a Star Wars nut.

“He has it all – Luke Skywalker bed sheets, Darth Vader pajamas, his water dish is shaped like Yoda and he carries a stuffed Wookie everywhere he goes,” she said.

Still, even as huge a fan as Winston is, he remains skeptical of the upcoming sequels. 

“He just could never get into Lost,” said Bowman. “So he’s worried.”
