Local Cat Fools Everyone With Stick-On Mustache

According to multiple reports, everyone was fooled by notorious cat prankster Curly on Wednesday.

“We really shouldn’t have fallen for it,” said prank victim Will Streitfeld. “I mean, everyone knows Curly doesn’t have a mustache. So why we all thought he’d somehow grown such an impressive ‘stache overnight is beyond me. But, as usual with that cat’s pranks, we fell for it hook, line and sinker.”

It is now clear that Curly’s mustache was actually a stick-on cardboard cut out, and not a legit set of whiskers.

Kitty’s Travel Agency Starts to Take Off

Friends laughed when Lucy the cat said she wanted to start a travel agency. “That’s a terrible industry to get into,” they said. “No one travels anymore. No one can afford it.”

But six-months since opening the business out of her tiny home office, it looks like Lucy might be having the last laugh.

“She’s doing fantastic,” said nosy neighbor Tom Pendleton. “I see cars parked outside all the time, and she’s just begun renovations on her home to expand the office and hire another couple of staffers.”

Turns out Lucy cleverly targeted the eco-tourism niche and has an uncanny ability to get her clients the very best deals. As a result, her business is taking off big time.

Cat to Star in Cymbalta Commercial

Frankie the cat rarely goes outside. He also sleeps up to 16 hours a day. Naturally, he was the perfect subject for Cymbalta’s latest television ad.

“We wanted to show people the real face of depression,” says Dustin Gregory, spokesperson for Eli Lilly & Co, the drugmaker behind the antidepressant. “Frankie embodied that morose, melancholy outlook better than any of the humans we’d considered. He was made for this role.”

For his audition, Frankie had to stare blankly out a window and appear “despondent” and “listless.”

“He nailed it,” says Gregory. “You could tell he’d been feeling this way for a long time. Or maybe it was just him being a cat. To be honest, we really don’t know.”
