BREAKING: The Fluffington Post Snubbed By Pulitzer Board 

The 2012 Pulitzer Prizes were announced today, and media watchers were stunned by one notable absence.  Among the news organizations not winning one of the prestigious awards is The Fluffington Post.

“I thought for sure their landmark coverage of Duck Duck Goosegate would get them recognition,” said Dr. Abel Jepson, a professor of communications at Columbia University.  "This is one of the worst snubs from the Pulitzer Board in the past decade.“

According to sources, Olly the Cat, a junior reporter who works at The Fluffington Post on the duck equality beat, was so distraught that he has locked himself in a conference room at FluffPo headquarters and is building a fort out of newspaper.

Dog Has No Idea Where Prime Rib Went

According to his owner, Leroy the dog is simply bewildered regarding the prime rib that was just on that plate over there. Deb Shulman tells The Fluffington Post that she had just purchased the meat at $12 a pound from a high-end butcher shop and was all set to enjoy it when the unthinkable happened.

“I come back from the kitchen, I sit down, and it’s gone,” says Shulman. “It’s like it just disappeared. Of course I asked Leroy. He had no idea." 

Despite the setback, Shulman indicated her dinner was not yet a loss as there was also a gigantic glazed ham in the fridge she had been dying to try.

Cat’s Attempt to Build Cushion Fort is “Underwhelming”

Reviewers are unimpressed with a local cat’s couch cushion fort, calling the effort “underwhelming” and “uninspired, like he didn’t have a plan at all.”  That’s not surprising, sources tell The Fluffington Post, because the cat reportedly spent fewer than 10 minutes designing his fort before he began building the structure.

“I’m beginning to think he might not be a licensed architect,” said one source close to the situation.

Crate and Barrel to Offer Swedish Nesting Dogs

Finally!  Crate and Barrel has announced that it will begin to sell a new line of designer Swedish nesting dogs starting in July.  The dogs come in two colors, gray and golden, and two styles, retriever and terrier mix.  

A set of nesting dogs will retail for $309, and matching throw pillows are available.
