Puggle Scores Job at Krispy Kreme
Despite a tough economy, jobs abound at a local Krispy Kreme donut shop, where Buddy the puggle popped in for a quick jelly D. Twenty minutes and a short stack of paperwork later, Buddy walked out with an assistant manager title.
“He’s really excited about it,” says Jeff Townsend, a close friend. “The pay’s pretty good, but most of all: free donuts.”

Ferret Unemployment Hits Record High
New figures from the Department of Labor find that 100% of ferrets are now unemployed in the U.S. What’s more, none of them are actively seeking a job.
“They’re freeloaders, basically,” says Connor Jameson, an economist who studies ferret behavior at Yale University. “They’ll ride that gravy train to the end of the line.”

Kitten Caught Swindling Tourists in Istanbul
A kitten offering tours to wayward travelers has been apprehended in Istanbul, Turkey. Authorities there say he is not a licensed tour guide, though his scheme generated more than $200,000.
“He seems really cute and trustworthy,” says Fahri Demir, Istanbul’s tourism minister. “But he’ll just take your money and drop you off in a ‘historic alleyway,’ then disappear. It’s bad for our city.”

It’s late May, which means those puppy bulbs planted in January are finally ready to burst.
