Hipster Dog Liked Bacon Before it Was Mainstream
Offer some crispy bacon to Riley the Shiba and she’ll turn up her nose. It’s not that she doesn’t want it. She just can’t be seen eating it.
“Riley loved bacon back when it was independent,” says Darryl Bohnert, a close friend. “It was just a farmer and his pigs, man. Free range. But then everyone started liking bacon, and it got all corporate, and it ditched its drummer. Now it’s just uncool, man. Riley’s moved on.”

According to the latest survey from Forrester Research, 80% of poodles who own smartphones prefer iOS devices.
“A lot of it has to do with social status,” says Charlie Gifford, a Forrester analyst. “They have no idea how the phones work, they just like feeling superior to others.”

1 in 3 Cats Can’t Start Their Day Without Coffee
A new Marist poll finds that one in three cats just can’t get going in the morning without a cup of coffee. The results speak to the growing trend of caffeine addiction in the U.S.
“Cats are busy people,” says Dr. Armand Sosa, a sleep specialist. “When they’re on the go, they’re not napping as much. And stress can reduce the effectiveness of sleep. This leads to a need for caffeine, which in turn messes up a cat’s circadian rythms even further. It’s a vicious cycle.”

Cat’s Magic Show Falls Flat
Sam, a cat from Cambridge, MA, called friends and family together for what the invitation described as “an astounding night of magic.”
“The tricks were totally lame,” says Matthew Alto, who witnessed the show. “He ‘cut himself in half’ by sitting behind a mirror. I mean, come on. Somebody’s been watching too many David Copperfield specials.”
