According to a new Stanford University study, cats are all too capable of being distracted by random things.
“We usually think of cats as stoic, intensely focused creatures,” says head researcher Gerald Brooks, DVM. “As we found, that all changes the second you put a plate of tuna somewhere.”

Area puppy Bert had been stressing for months about his kitchen remodeling project, but now that the dust has settled and everything in installed, he’s happy with the results.
“I thought it was a mistake not to hire a contractor,” says friend Agatha Davis. "But everything he picked looks fabulous. From the light mahogany cabinets with brass pulls to the oak flooring and the quartz countertops. It looks great.“
According to Davis she was skeptical of Bert’s decision to go with black appliances instead of the more en vogue stainless steel. "But I was wrong. Stainless would have been overkill,” she says.
Bert is planning to take a few months and enjoy his new kitchen before tackling his planned “dogcave” in the finished basement.
