Area Dog Can’t Wait to Find Out What’s Coming to Vacant Storefront
Local pup Tula was bummed when the town’s Blockbuster video store closed in in 2011. For a long time, the store sat vacant, but two weeks ago a mysterious “Coming Soon” sign appeared in the window. Cryptically, the sign doesn’t actually allude to what is coming soon to the location, and that’s driving Tula nuts.
“She just can’t wait for find out what it is,” said friend Daniel Callahan. "Tula walks by the store every day to see if there are any clues as to what’s coming. I know she’s really hoping for a Pinkberry.“

In his haste, Buttons inadvertently grabbed a pair of large sandals from the shelf at a local shoe store. He realized his error as soon as he got home, but discovered he had left the receipt behind.
“He’s tried to tinker with them a little to get a better fit,” says Martha Winfree, a source familiar with the situation. “He’s even put them through the wash to shrink them. No luck.”

Puppy Adopts Duck From Local Park
Snickers, a Tibetan Spaniel puppy, made his first official visit to the park on Tuesday. While most of the afternoon was spent taking in the scenery and shaking paws with local residents, he did not leave without a souvenir.
“He adopted his very own pet duck,” says Jen Werts, who assisted Snickers with the paperwork. “He’s five months old already. I think he can handle this kind of responsibility.”
