Pugs Win Destination Wedding in Online Sweepstakes
Maddie and Joel were just your average engaged pugs, planning a modest wedding for family and friends. That is until, on a whim, Maddie put her name in for a random drawing with an online travel agency.
“The prize was an all-expenses paid destination wedding for a couple and 20 guests,” says Jenny Talbot, a friend of the pugs. “The chances of them winning it were just ridiculously small.”
Fast forward six months to find the couple barking “I do” on a beach in Tahiti, surrounded by loved ones.
“It was absolutely amazing,” says Larry Siegel, a guest. “Best wedding I’ve ever been too – and a free plane ticket to boot!”

Bunny’s Practical Joke Falls Flat
“Yeah, it was embarrassing,” recalled witness Tammy Butterfield of area rabbit Hoppy’s attempt at humor. "She tried to give her friend Winnie bunny ears when their photo was being taken. But, well, that didn’t really work for obvious reasons. It was all pretty stupid.“
According to Butterfield, when Winnie realized what Hoppy was attempting she gave the other bunny a look "like death,” and then shook her head with disdain and stalked away.
Hoppy is reportedly undeterred by her faux pas, and is planning another practical joke later this week.
