Tired of achy bones and shoveling snow year after year, Marty the penguin finally packed it in and relocated from Antarctica to Boca Raton, FL.
“He’s been thinking about it for a while now,” says Joe Parnici, Jr., a neighbor and longtime friend. “And by thinking, I mean complaining. Glad to see he finally did it – not sure why anyone still lives around here in the first place. It’s miserable.”

Cat Goes All-In on Pair of Nines
In a move poker experts are calling “reckless” and “bone-headed,” a cat named Freddie pushed all his chips into the pot in the third round of betting on a late hand.
“We called his bluff,” said Nick Chambers, one of four other players at the table. “He only had a pair of nines. I had a full house, and knocked his ass right out of the game.”

Dog Attains ‘Grandmaster’ Status in World Chess Championship
A German Shepherd named Hudson has defeated 15 consecutive opponents in an international chess tournament to become the World Chess Federation’s latest Grandmaster.
“It was touch-and-go against that one French guy,” says chess fan and avid tournament watcher Gary Swoope. “But Hudson has a killer endgame. He turned the tables pretty quickly with some reciprocal zugzwang, then bam! Checkmate!”
