Dog Munchkin Thief Identified

Dog Munchkin Thief Identified

By Scott Friedstein, FluffPo Correspondent

Fred the dog had been a welcome addition the Ernst & Young offices in New York City. An “office dog” brought in as part of the city’s experimental Employee Exchange Program, Fred was embraced by all. Then, the Munchkins started disappearing.

“We would have about three cases any given morning,” says secretary Claire Haskell. “By 10 o’clock, they would all be gone. People were upset. Fingers were pointed. It got pretty ugly.”

Then, just as chaos seemed imminent, the culprit became clear.

“It was Fred,” says Haskell.

The pup received a formal warning, and employees became much more vigilant with their Munchkin deliveries.

“We basically just stopped leaving them on the floor,” says Haskell. “Fred will still whine, but management told him he’s not going to be getting any. Not until he starts being a good boy.”

Rabbit Sued by Cats for ‘Copycatting’

Rabbit Sued by Cats for ‘Copycatting’

A group of cats has filed suit against a local bunny named Pam for what they say is an unauthorized use of intellectual property.

At issue is a picture Pam posted on her Instagram page with depicts her sitting in a cardboard box. The feline group claims that cats own a copyright for what they’re saying is a “unique piece of performance art.”

“Sitting in boxes has always been the domain of cats,” said feline legal team member Larry Watterson, Esq. “We contend that by sitting in that box, and posing for that photo, without paying any licensing fees to my clients, Pam is in breach of copyright laws. We’re seeking punitive damages in the amount of $150,000.”

The case is scheduled to go to court next month.

Many Older Dalmatians Now Dye Their Spots

Many Older Dalmatians Now Dye Their Spots

It’s a little known fact that as Dalmatians age, their spots often go grey, and then white, making them look essentially just like any other mid-sized dog. Until recently, there was nothing an aging pup could do. However, a newly developed hair dye treatment from a New York doggie salon called Dapper Dogs is giving old dogs a new lease on life.

“The love it,” said Cindy Kirtzner, owner of Dapper Dogs. “Many older Dalmatians are self conscious about their appearance once their spots begin to go grey. Our new dying technique is totally safe, completely realistic and only takes about an hour, once per week.”

The Brooklyn-based salon is currently booked up through May, but plans to open a second, Midtown location soon to keep up with demand.
