Puppy Car Service App Comes to New York
Following a successful roll-out in the San Francisco area, the puppy-centric car service app, Woofer, is about to land in the Big Apple.
The app will launch its New York availability this weekend with 65 cars out for hire.
According to CEO Suresh Kothari, current car service apps like Uber and Lyft aren’t guaranteed to offer pet friendly rides and the apps themselves just aren’t for good for dogs.
“Those apps are great – for humans,” said Kothari, “but try using Uber with paws and then get back to me.”

Local Dog Scales Small Rock
An area terrier named Thaddeus is being hailed as a hero in his community after reports that he reached the summit of a small rock at the local dog park earlier this morning.
“He’s been eying that rock for weeks,” said Tam McDonald, a friend and climbing instructor. “But his little paws just couldn’t get purchase on the surface.”
According to McDonald, Thaddeus would spend hours each day just staring at the rock and figuring out his game plan. This morning, at approximately 8:12am, the dog finally reached the summit. The climb took him about 35 seconds once he screwed up enough courage to go for it.
He gave a quick “yip” of triumph, before jumping down and finishing his “business.”
