Kitten Can Only Afford Tiny NYC Studio
When Toffee the cat moved to New York City she had dreams of landing a job at a clothing label, eventually launching her own line of eco-friendly and fashion forward collars, and living the good life. But unfortunately, New York real estate prices have been a huge reality check for the kitty.
“She wanted to live close to the garment district, so she could be right where the action is,” said Toffee’s rental agent, Tony Ryu. But because Toffee was unable to land her dream job right away – she currently busses tables at a wine bar in Chelsea – she’s only been able to afford a very small studio way uptown in Harlem.
Yet even now, living so far from the action, the cat wouldn’t change a thing.
“Oh she’s not exactly living her dream,” said former roommate June November, “but she’s determined to make it. On the plus side, her apartment has a rat problem, which is an unexpected perk.”

Critics: Frenchie’s Pumpkin Spice Latte Recipe Needs Work
The return of fall means pumpkin spice everything, but one Frenchie foodie has yet to impress critics. Frankie attempted the autumnal favorite “pumpkin spice latte” (or PSL, made famous by Starbucks) by going to the source.
“He’s a nut for fresh ingredients, so he started with a pumpkin right out of the patch,” says Leonard Avery, a friend of the pup. “He really went to town on that thing.”
Once he had enough pumpkin flavoring, it was time to brew and spice the coffee. But its debut at a local coffee shop in Denver, CO was met with lukewarm reviews.
“It had a hint of pumpkin, but mostly just tasted like wet dog,” says Cameron Singleby, a coffee critic for Beans Magazine. “The PSL is a delicate art form. I think Frankie just needs a bit more practice.”
