Though he goes bananas every time she pulls out the salmon-flavored hard candies, a Japanese cat named Souseki can’t stand when his grandmother comes to visit.
“I think deep down he loves her,” said Yuzuru Isamu, a close friend. “But she can be overbearing.”
Souseki reportedly tries to avoid his grandma by hiding under the couch when she visits. However, in the end, his curiosity and love of salmon-flavored treats always gets the better of him, and inevitably he gets caught.
“That curiosity is a fatal flaw,” said Isamu. “One of these days it’s going to kill him.”

Magenta the dog just moved into a new apartment and she has a message for her roommates: “You can stay, but this is my house.”
What do her people think about that? There’s not much they can do.
“We split the rent evenly, but she pays most of the utilities,” said roommate Marvin Toleson. “She’s really got us over a barrel.”
Among the new house rules that Magenta has instituted: the TV will only be tuned to Animal Planet and no vacuuming while she’s around. She’s also created a variety of themed meal days during the week.
“I can live with Bacon Tuesdays,” said Toleson, “but I’m having a real hard time adjusting to Whatever You Find in the Backyard Fridays.”
