“Rambunctious Puppy” Is the Most Popular Band Name in Western U.S.

A recent ASCAP survey of musicians performing in the Mid-West and Pacific states reveals that “Rambunctious Puppy” is the most-used band name, with 145 groups bearing the moniker.

“Fiberglass Riot” and “Puppet Shuffle” came in a close second and third, respectively.

Researchers: Hamsters Could Be a Source of Green Energy

Scientists in Edinburgh, Scotland have been studying the effects of hamsters running on carpet. The static electricity generated in their fur could be enough to power small household appliances and lights.

Whether or not this may lead to an independence from fossil fuels will require more research.
