Kitten’s Latest Power Ballad Tops UK Charts
Move over, Adele. The next great soul singer has arrived, and her name is Daisy.
The Persian kitten may only be two months old, but her exciting blend of piano pop, R&B and electronica has taken Europe by storm. Her latest single, “Snuggle Me, Snuggle You,” has reached the top of the UK music charts, and the U.S. release is scheduled to hit iTunes in early June.
“Her voice is unstoppable,” says Marc Keller, music critic for Rolling Stone magazine. “Really rich tone, and the control of a seasoned alto. This kitten is going places.”
Daisy co-writes most of her songs with a studio team, but the piano riffs and root melodies are all her own. Her management says a U.S. tour is in the works. A few more TV appearances and radio spots should solidify her place in the pop music zeitgeist, according to industry watchers.

Bulldog to Host ‘The Tonight Show’ in 2016
NBC has confirmed that Rocky, an up-and-coming canine TV personality, has been tapped to replace Jay Leno when The Tonight Show host retires in 2016.
“We’ve obtained a leaked copy of the contract, and it specifically says ‘no backsies,’ ” explains Dale Hardwick of The Hollywood Reporter, alluding to the 2010 kerfuffle between Leno and then host Conan O’Brien. “Once Leno is done, he’s done for good. That’s when Rocky will really be able to put his unique spin on the property.” Sources close to the comic dog say he’s big on bacon jokes.
As yet, there is no public comment from Late Night host Jimmy Fallon, whom many assumed would one day inherit the coveted 11:30 time slot.

Cops: Corgi’s Super Hero Birthday Was ‘Out of Control’
New Hampshire police arrived at the home of Howard the Corgi at 2:07 AM on Tuesday after receiving no less than 12 noise complaints from area residents.
“The party was raging,” says officer Jake Fowler, referring to the Corgi’s birthday celebration. It had been ongoing since 7:00 PM the previous evening. “It was a super hero theme, so the dogs were jumping off the furniture in capes trying to fly. It was out of control and we had to shut it down.”
There were no arrests, though one party guest was issued a fine for disorderly conduct.
