Arctic Fox Nearly Consumed by Painting
A local arctic fox is in critical condition after narrowly escaping a large swath of painted green brushstrokes. "He was just sitting there minding his own business,“ according zoologist Alan Bell. "Then in the blink of an eye there’s green paint everywhere. Someone was trying to paint him into… I think it may have been a landscape. Luckily he was able to get away.”
Currently there are no suspects in custody, though area super villains are being sought for questioning.
Cat Rests After Building IKEA Bookshelf
According to numerous reports, Winnie, a cat from Olympia, WA, was found this afternoon completely tuckered out and napping in the bookshelf she just built.
“It was a Flüdenhöffer, I think. Or maybe a Mårlsgørd. But it was missing at least three pieces, so Winnie had to improvise,” said close work friend and cubicle mate Ingrid O’Dea. "She ended up making two trips to Home Depot to get the thing put together and it took a lot out of her, but I think it looks great. She’ll finally be able to organize her Blu-Ray collection.“

Terrier Prevails in Prize Fight with Sponge
Marley, a Jack Russell Terrier, went the distance in last night’s headlining bout at Caesar’s Palace in Atlantic City, NJ against an ordinary household sponge. The dog was exhausted after his victory, which came on a technical knockout in the 12th round, but pleased.
“I had them even through ten,” said boxing analyst Cherry Weinkrantz. "It was still anyone’s fight going into the final round, but Marley really came out swinging. His form was flawless and he landed a lot of great, late-round chews. That’s why he walked away with the title.“
