Economists: Window Doggie Prices Hold Steady
Economists: Window Doggie Prices Hold Steady
How much is that doggie in the window? According to global economists at the Brookings Institution, window doggie prices have stabilized this month after a massive sell-off over the first half of this year.
“The market was flooded with cheap window doggies from overseas,” said researcher Katherine Baxter, “which caused the bottom to fall out. However, new import taxes levied by the federal government have finally had an effect in the marketplace and prices have once again stabilized. It’ll be awhile before we see the sky-high prices of the last few years, though – if ever.”
According to Baxter, doggies with “waggly tails” will still fetch a premium.

Kitten’s Ballroom Dancing Prowess Stuns Judges
At a ballroom dancing competition in Hamburg, Germany, one unheralded kitten stole the show. Mowgli, a relative unknown on the ballroom dance circuit, stunned judges with his graceful movement and fluid steps.
“He danced in that weird way kittens do and was up there alone, so technically he’s not eligible to win,” said Lithuanian judge Monika Butkevičius. “Still, I was very impressed with his skill. We all were. He has a bright future if he can find a partner to match his moves.”

Hamster Won’t Share Little Red Wagon
Hamster Won’t Share Little Red Wagon
Area hamster Chuckie has refused to share his Radio Flyer wagon, according to numerous sources.
When approached this morning by a second hamster who wanted to play with Chuckie in the wagon, Chuckie reportedly wheeled away, much to the dismay of photographers in the area.
“One hamster in a tiny wagon is gonna do pretty well on Tumblr and Reddit,” said photojournalist Lucinda Wainwright. “But two hamsters in a tiny wagon? That’s like a gift from the karma gods. I hope Chuckie can get on board with this whole sharing bit soon, because that would be photo of the year right there.”
