Bunny Politician Refuses to Concede Congressional Seat

Though election night is behind us and the votes long-since tallied, a congressman in Wisconsin’s 7th district, known only as “The Bunny,” has refused to give up his seat, despite being roundly defeated by his challenger, a chinchilla named Eric Wrigley.

“The results are clear – it was a landslide,” says John Canova, an attorney with the Wrigley campaign. “The Bunny simply won’t concede. We may have to physically remove him from his office in January. I just hope it doesn’t come to that.”

Auditions for season 11 of the hit FOX reality show America’s Cutest Puppy are underway, and a source close to the executive producer tells The Fluffington Post that they have received a major contender.

“Her name is Moxie, she’s a King Charles Cavalier, and she might have this contest sewn up before it even begins,” says Angela, who would only reveal her first name, as employees of the show are not allowed to comment on the selection process. “I hate to say it, but these other puppies don’t even stand a chance.”

Upset Alert: Dog Beats Cats In Napping Competition

Though he only placed third, Jackabee the dog is completely overshadowing the winners of the 114th annual World Nap-Off, which held its finals this afternoon in Chicago, IL.  Jackabee becomes the first dog to place in the competition, which is usually dominated by cats, since 1948, when the legendary Pepe the Snooze took home the gold in an oft-disputed result.

Experts are saying that this could be the start of a great career as a professional napper for Jackabee, and might signal a sea change in the sport.  Spokespeople for the cat professional league, however, are calling the bronze medal-winning pooch a fluke.

Cat Builds ‘Epic’ Couch Cushion Fort

Simone the kitty has been hard and work constructing her couch cushion fort since Saturday, according to reports.  Late this afternoon, the enterprising cat, put in place the final cushion to complete the new addition to the living room skyline.

“The fort is just epic,” said Alice Robbins, a senior member of the household.  "It totally redefines the living room sitting district and changes traffic flow for the entire first floor of the house.“

According to sources close to the situation, Simone has set her sights next on renovating the recliner on the other side of the room.
