Kitten’s Full-Body Cast Revealed to Be a Tube Sock
Kaylee the kitten called in sick to work on Thursday morning, telling her boss she had suffered a home injury and was confined to bed rest. As proof of her mishap, she sent along a picture of herself in a “body cast.”
“At first, I thought – a full body cast? This is really serious,” her employer Chad Mickelson tells The Fluffington Post. “Then I looked a little closer at the photo. I’m no doctor, but it kinda looks like a tube sock to me.”

When Bichon Frise puppies Chuck and Chuck Jr. decided to start a snow shoveling business on their street, friends and neighbors were initially supportive. But after the first major snowfall of the season last week, some are starting to express reservations over the quality of their work.
“At first I thought it was a great idea,” said neighbor Amy Wexler, “but we got eight inches earlier this week and they did a terrible job on my driveway.”
According to Wexler, she paid the puppies $10 to shovel our her driveway and the walkway up to the front door, but they mostly just chased each other around in the snow and then went home. “Now it has totally iced over!“ she told The Fluffington Post.
Other clients are sticking by the pair – at least for now.
“Was the work good? No. Was it satisfactory? Not really. But I’ll give them one more shot,” said Diane Shannihan, another neighbor. With more snow expected over the weekend, the puppies could get that shot sooner rather than later.

Get Political for Animals in 2013
The Humane Society Legislative Fund believes animals deserve protection from cruelty and abuse and deserve a voice in the legislative process. We support efforts to pass humane legislation at the federal and state levels, and to help elect humane candidates to office. Only by passing more humane laws and electing more humane lawmakers will animals receive the protection they deserve.
This year holds the promise of passing critical legislation to help animals on issues like abusive puppy mills, chimpanzees warehoused in laboratories, cruel animal fighting, horse slaughter and more. But we can’t do it without your help.
Be a voice for animals. Click here to join a network of committed advocates in the fight to protect animals from cruelty and abuse. Together, we can make a big impact this year and next –- and help protect millions of animals.
