Dog Commits to Healthier Lifestyle
After a recent visit to the doctor, a local pup has made some big decisions about diet and exercise.
“Baxter’s cholesterol was through the roof,” says Dr. Amir Singh. “I keep telling him to cut out the bacon, but he’s so set in his ways. I think the latest lab results spooked him though.”
That’s why Baxter has made a personal commitment to better nutrition and regular exercise.
“He works out at the apple orchard and then just eats what he finds,” says Heather St. Croix, a personal friend. “He’s already lost five pounds, and he’s discovered a new love for fruits.”

Cat Roomies Save Space With Bunk Beds
It may seem a little juvenile, but bunk beds are all the rage for young professionals with a high cost of living. Chester and Conrad share a one-bedroom apartment on New York City’s Lower East Side, but they maximize their space with stackable mattresses.
“There’s no way they could afford a two-bedroom on cat salaries,” says Shelly Tegan, a resident in the same building. “Not in this neighborhood anyway.”

Puppy Celebrates iPhone App Release
When Max the puppy wrote the final line of code for his latest iPhone app – a game in which a group of dogs fight a gang of cats by firing themselves as projectiles – he celebrated with a glass of Macallan single-malt whisky.
“He doesn’t really drink,” said Ellen Niven, the COO of Ruffio, the iPhone game company she co-founded with the dog. “So he reserves it for big achievements, like shipping a new game. He only drinks the good stuff.”
When asked if she was concerned that the game might be too similar to Angry Birds, Niven was dismissive.
“Our game is dogs and cats. It’s totally different.”
