Dog Training for Next NASA Mission

Move over Laika: one ambitious chihuahua is currently engaged in a rigorous training program in hopes of being considered for NASA’s next space mission. Pico, the dog in question, has been putting in hours a day on physical conditioning, including several stints in zero-gravity simulators. 

Trainer Allen Divers said Pico has the right stuff.

“He’s strong, he’s tough, and he’s smart,” Divers said. “By the time they’re ready to have astronauts join the Curiosity Rover on Mars, I think there’s a good chance that Pico’s going to be in that crew.”

Bunny’s Prank Delights Co-Workers

Harold and Charlie were just two pals having a good time.

“Charlie would wrap Harold’s desk in aluminum foil, Harold would hide Charlie’s stapler,” says Mathew Webb, a colleague. “It was all fun and games.”

That is until “The Cup Prank,” a bit of tomfoolery that will live in infamy, according to their friends and co-workers.

“Harold put some kale at the bottom of a narrow cup and left it on Charlie’s desk. And Charlie loves kale,” Webb explains. “He loves it a little too much, considering it’s kale. Anyway, Charlie couldn’t resist, so he dives in. Next thing you know, his face is stuck, and everyone’s cracking up. Except Charlie, of course. It took him 20 minutes to get that thing off, on account of not having hands or fingers.”

Area Pup Demands Weekly Mani-Pedi

With a face like hers, demands are usually met, and for this Southern California dog, that means a weekly trip to the best spa in town for the full VIP treatment.  

Her name is Sassy, and according to sources close to the situation, she’s quite the princess.

“She has a standing appointment every Monday at noon,” said Kim Harper, owner of Serenity Spa in Beverly Hills, “and she’s never missed a single one in five years.” 

Harper declined to comment on the degree of work done for Sassy each week, citing client confidentiality, but an anonymous source told The Fluffington Post that Sassy likes to get dirty.

“She may seem like a pretty princess on the outside,” said the source, “but that pup will play in the mud and chase sticks until the cows come home if you let her. She needs those spa treatments to maintain that prim and proper image.”
