Researchers: Hamsters Could Be a Source of Green Energy

Scientists in Edinburgh, Scotland have been studying the effects of hamsters running on carpet. The static electricity generated in their fur could be enough to power small household appliances and lights.

Whether or not this may lead to an independence from fossil fuels will require more research.
