English Bulldog Suspected of Fraud in San Juan
Everyone in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico knows Bacon. The portly English Bulldog made his fortune in the cigar business, and has even run for mayor on two occasions.
But Bacon’s reputation was recently called into question by a series of probes into his financial records. Authorities suspect him of laundering money through a number of phony tourism businesses, though no formal charges have been pressed.
