Bunny Does Pilates Every Morning
Whiplash the bunny is fanatical about his health. He drinks a carrot and kale green smoothie every morning and does Pilates three times each week.
"Whiplash started coming to me a couple of years ago," said Jorja Gribben, a Pilates and Yoga instructor at the local YMCA. "He was feeling a bit doughy back then, and we really worked on strengthening his core."
Now Whiplash is one of Gribben’s best students and most active adherents of the lifestyle.
"Because of that rabbit blabbing all around town about how great Pilates is and looking so fabulous, I’ve had to add two more classes to my schedule," said Gribben. "Not that I’m complaining!"

Bunny Hops Into Governor’s Race
A bunny from Rhode Island has officially announced his intention to run for Governor of the state.
Sir Hops-a-Lot, who is running as a Republican on a platform that includes lowering the state sales tax and eliminating capital gain’s taxes on investments in RI businesses, is joining a wide open race. The state’s current governor, Lincoln Chafee, declined the seek a second term.
The bunny joins a GOP field that already includes Allan Fung, mayor of Cranston, and Ken Block, who was the nominee for the Moderate Party the last go around.
Some opponents have questioned whether the bunny is eligible to run for governor.
The “Ocean State Futures” political action committee is reportedly readying a campaign that will demand that Sir Hops-a-Lot produce his official birth certificate.
“‘Sir’ isn’t a title you see in America very often,” said the group’s spokesperson, Aaron Merrill via email. “We’re just saying…”

Bunny Trains for Winter Olympics in Sochi
The American cross country rabbit ski team has never won a medal at the Winter Olympics. But 2014 could be different, according to analysts.
"This is the strongest bunny ski team I’ve seen in years,” said Tom Verdurro, chief alpine sports analyst at NBC. “They have speed, they have endurance and they have a real leader in Reese.”
Reese, the current world record holder in the 15km bunny event, has been training at the U.S. facility outside of Boulder, CO. The bunny is reportedly rounding into form and is expected to be a favorite in Sochi this winter.
'Grumpy Bunnies' Land Syndicated Show on NPR
Public radio giant NPR announced today that it had finally found a replacement for Car Talk, the automobile-centric call-in show that was retired just over a year ago. The new show, Grumpy Bunnies, will follow a similar format and features rabbit brothers Grizzly and Gromit Cierrello.
"We’re trying to reach new audiences," said Yvette Raskin, a spokesperson for the organization.
Raskin also confirmed that the bunny brothers will record the show in NPR’s recently LEED certified new office building in Washington, DC. That’s a big move from the program’s current home, a college radio station in Manchester, NH.
The show will open with a bit of comedy before segueing to a traditional call-in format.
"Research tells us that a lot of people are listening to NPR with their pets in the room, but we didn’t really have anything to draw those pets in as regular listeners," said Raskin. "Who better than the irascible Griz and Grom to reach that audience?"
The show will debut in February 2014.
