Cool Chinchilla Has Too Many Dates for Prom
Barry, a chinchilla from Marina Del Ray, CA, has a conundrum to deal with as he heads into prom season: too many dates. The high school-aged rodent has fielded at least 12 different offers to go to four different proms, according to sources. "I’m not sure what he’ll do,“ says one friend, "but he’s definitely going to break some hearts.”

Hamstronaut Makes Contact With International Space Station
NASA is reporting that the capsule containing Maj. Tom Hamstein has succesfully docked with the International Space Station as of 10:25 p.m. Cape Canaveral time. The hamster will be the first of his kind to board the station, and plans to conduct experiments on cheek capacity in low-gravity environments.

Little Rat Accidentally Orders Oversized Snuggie
Charlie the rat was thrilled when the Home Shopping Network box arrived on his front stoop. Unfortunately, due to a clerical error, the Snuggie he ordered was shipped as an XXXL – roughly 47 sizes too big for the tiny rodent.
While Charlie initially intended to return it, sources say he now plans to grow into it by laying on the couch and eating Häagen-Dazs ice cream.

Hamster Blows Lottery Winnings on Pastries
Millicent, a hamster from Surprise, AZ, won $50 on a lucky scratcher last week and has reportedly spent her entire windfall on what appears to be a year’s supply of baked goods. "We tried to get her to put some of it away, maybe buy a little Apple stock,“ says one friend, "but her sweet tooth got the better of her.”
According to sources, Millicent appears content with her decision.
British Hamster Adores Avant-Garde Furniture
You might say that Audrey’s taste is post-modern and eclectic. The 10-month-old Russian Dwarf hamster from the UK only furnishes her two-burrow apartment with avant-garde pieces that are more form than function.
The latest addition to her collection is the Cloud Couch (pictured above), a piece by Spanish designer Frederico Andres. It’s inspired by the cloudscapes that float over Barcelona, and retails for a cool $12,500. Only three exist, and Audrey never stops talking about how she outbid Alan Cummings for it at a Sotheby’s auction.
