Hamster Carbo-Loads for the Olympics

Antioch, who will be competing in the Hamster Olympiad in Cardiff, Wales this week, has been eating a diet high in carbohydrates to ready for the competition.  The Hamster Olympics, which are held every four years to coincide with the summer Olympic games, feature a number of events, including: wheel races and cage climbing.  

“Annie burns a through a ton of energy in the endurance events in which she’s competing, like the 2500 meter wheel race,” said trainer Ryan Tasca.  "The carbo-rich diet allows her to store more energy in her muscles prior to competition.“

Chipmunk Blown Away by Olympic Opening Ceremonies

As soon as Carl tuned into the broadcast of the Olympic Opening Ceremonies, he was glued to his TV. The chipmunk from Trout Lake, MN was “blown away” by the artistry and narrative, according to friends.

“Carl was really floored,” says Roslyn Baltz, a source close to the situation. “I think I caught him tearing up during the Mary Poppins part.”

Guinea Pig Regrets Switching Conditioners

According to sources, Griff the guinea pig has been holed up in his hutch since Tuesday, refusing to leave after making quite possibly the worst hair care decision ever.

Known for his impeccable grooming habits, Griff is said to have suddenly switched his conditioner to an unknown, generic brand. The results, to say the least, were horrific.

“It’s pretty bad,” says Hal Dunberg, a friend. “He’s basically just one big mass of fluff. I’’ve never seen anything like it.”

Asked what could have led Griff to abandon his original conditioner, Dunberg could only speculate. "He might have just been trying to save some money. He’ll come out eventually, though. Assuming the frizz dies down, of course.“
