French Company Unveils Invisible Hamster Ball

Plastic hamster balls have become cliche. So says French company Hamwishes, which just revealed the latest in hamster mobile technology: the invisible ball.

“It uses a complex array of cameras, mirrors and displays to simulate invisibility,” says Hamwishes spokesperson Jacque Soray. “It will look like your hamster is just crawling around on the floor, but trust us – he’s in a high tech invisible ball.”

STUDY: Most Hamsters Still Have Feature Phones

It’s a well-documented fact that hamsters love cell phones, but a new study from the Pew Internet & American Life Project finds that the majority of hamsters are still using feature phones.

The study, released on Wednesday, indicates that only 14% of hamsters have upgraded to smartphones (and of those, Blackberry is surprisingly the most popular variety by a wide margin), while most hamsters still use so-called “dumb phones.”

“Our research indicates that for hamsters, the most important activity is texting,” said lead researcher Fabio Million.  According to Million, many hamsters are on a fixed income and spend the majority of their money on an unlimited texting plan and then just go with whatever free phone is being offered by the carrier.

“Hamsters don’t generally go on the web much, so paying for a data plan just doesn’t make sense,” he continued.

Baby Possum Oversleeps, Misses Bus

A little possum named Conrad just couldn’t pull it together on Friday morning and missed the bus to school, much to the dismay of his parents and teacher.

“I know possums are noctournal, but Conrad really needs to go to bed earlier and eat a good breakfast every morning if he’s going to make it through first grade,” his teacher Ms. Slater tells The Fluffington Post.

Hamster to Tickle Ivories at President Obama’s Election Night Party

The Democratic National Committee and the Obama-Biden Campaign have announced that a little-known Hamster named Brad will provide the main entertainment at the campaign’s election night party in November.

“Brad is a registered Republican who voted for the President in 2008 and plans to do so again,” said the campaign’s assistant communications coordinator, Tanya Riley.  "He’s also a very talented pianist and will surely have the crowd on its feet with his signature ragtime stylings.“
