New Ferret Park Finally Opens to the Public
After nearly six months of delays, the ferret park at the intersection of Bradford St. and Oakland Ave. is now open.
“We wanted to ensure every detail was perfect before letting our beloved ferrets run around out there,” says parks developer Cameron Mondale of the 30-square-foot grass patch.
Residents are encouraged to walk their ferrets and utilize the ferret water fountain.

Zookeepers to Lion Cub: You Won’t Be King of Anything
Staff at the Zurich Zoo now regret screening Disney classic The Lion King at a recent birthday party. Since then, the zoo’s lion cub has been under the impression that he’ll one day be king of all the other animals.
“He just can’t wait,” says Anna Pars, who can’t get that stupid song out of her head.
The ego boost has caused problems with the other animals, and zookeepers are looking for ways to delicately inform the cub that he is not, in fact, royalty.

Chicago Hedgehog Sues City After Falling Into Public Pool
A hedgehog named Pickles has brought a lawsuit against the city of Chicago after he inadvertently fell into the shallow end of a public pool, soaking his brand new quills.
The suit cites negligence and lack of proper signage, but most legal analysts see the case as frivolous, and likely to be dismissed by the court.
