Internet Celebrity Waffles the Corgi Implicated in Dog Park Melee

Photographic evidence has emerged implicating Internet celebrity and noted corgi, Waffles the Corgi, in a scuffle that broke out at the neighborhood dog park this afternoon.  Waffles allegedly struck another park patron, a smaller dog by the name of Penny, without provocation.  The photos seem to support these allegations, though no formal charges have been entered at this time.  Waffles could not be reached for comment.

Cat Demands to Be Read To

It turns out that technology cannot quell Simba’s love of reading – or, more precisely, his love of being read to.  It doesn’t matter that his books now come with animated pictures, musical soundtracks and interactive games, Simba still enjoys sitting back after a long day of napping and having one of his favorites – Curious George or The Cat in the Hat, perhaps – read aloud.  

You just can’t beat the classics.

Puppy Secrets Cause Playground Rift

According to sources close to the situation, a secret told in confidence on Friday morning had spread through the entire puppy playground by mid-afternoon.  The two pups who initially instigated the secret telling are reportedly no longer on speaking terms.

“Rrrrow gruff, ruff aroo!” said one of the dogs involved, on the condition of anonymity.

STUDY: Guests Prefer Candy to Cats

Thinking of putting out lovely spread of cats at your next get together?  You may want to reconsider.  According to a new study from Oberlin College, most people prefer that candy dishes be filled with candy instead of kittens.  

“The results really blew us away,” says lead researcher Alvin Supanick. “We weren’t expecting that people would prefer the candy.  It points to a really novel entertaining tactic, but we think if people are willing to get by the absurdity here, they’ll find that their guests will be happier.”
