Local Puppy Wins 2nd Place on ‘Biggest Loser’
With a final weigh in at just over three pounds, a puppy named Lulu was declared first runner up on the NBC reality fitness show The Biggest Loser. After a grueling 10-week diet and exercise regimine, Lulu dropped a whopping 124 pounds.
While she did not take home the grand prize, sources close to the situation say Lulu’s journey to a healthy lifestyle is prize enough.

Apple Unveils ‘Final Cut: Cat Edition’
Apple Inc. CEO Tim Cook unveiled the company’s latest software at a press event in Cupertino, CA Thursday morning. Final Cut, the industry standard video editing suite, will include a Cat Edition that caters to aspiring feline filmmakers.
The product employs a simplified user interface and a number of presets that allow even novice kitties to create slick video packages. The Cat Edition will come bundled with Final Cut Pro packages starting in November, and will also be available as a stand-alone product.

New TSA Rule: You Must Unpack Your Cat Before Security Check
According to new TSA rules announced on Wednesday, travelers must now remove cats weighing more than 5 ounces from suitcases and carry-ons before going through security. This is a departure for the TSA from its recent decision to relax many airport security rules. Last month, for example, the organization announced that aircraft passengers would be allowed to use approved cats in flight once indicated by the pilot.
“It’s already bad enough we have to take off our shoes, our coats, our hats, remove out laptops – but now cats? It’s an outrage. Security lines will take forever,” complained one frequent traveler after being informed of the policy change.
An TSA spokesperson says that all of their rules are made with passenger safety in mind.

Rare 3-Headed Kitten Spotted in the Wild
The scientific community is hotly debating recent photos of a three-headed kitten taken early Wednesday morning. The species is exceedingly rare, which has led some biologists to conclude the photos are fake, or merely of three individual kittens walking in close quarters.
If the photos are legitimate, this will be the sixth three-headed feline ever observed in the wild.
