Puppy-Run Newspaper Delivery Service Sees Hard Times in Internet Age
PaperPups, Inc. is very close to bankruptcy, according to a number of insiders. The puppy owned and operated newspaper delivery service has signed its lowest client roster in a decade, thanks to the demise of many local dailies.
The Internet is surely to blame, as more Americans get their news from online websites and social networks like The Twitters and Google+. But not everyone is happy about it.
“Paper will never die. It’s just better,” said an old person, who still gets The Herald Sun delivered every morning by PaperPups. “The Internet is too flashy. And it doesn’t have a smell like newsprint does. I need the smell.”
