Long-Distance Relationship Is Hard for Bulldog Couple

When Haldo the bulldog was assigned to a six-month post in Abu Dhabi for work, he was worried about the effect it would have on his then-new relationship with fellow dog Annabelle. Now 14 weeks into his assignment, things are going better than expected.

“It’s still really hard on both of them,” said Lachlan Tripp, a coworker at Haldo’s company. “But they’re also closer than they were at the start, if that makes sense.”

The two pups spend at least an hour each night using Google Hangouts to chat. Coordinating across timezones (Annabelle is in Denver, CO) can be difficult, but they have so far made it work.

When Haldo’s work assignment ends in a couple of months, they are planning to take a vacation together to the Dominican Republic.

REPORT: Area Dog Needs a Bath

According to multiple reports from the backyard, a local dog named Domino is in dire need of a bath.

“He’s been out there digging holes and flopping around in the mud for three hours,” said one onlooker. “There’s no doubt about it: That’s one dirty Scottie.”

It’s unclear when Domino will get a bath or how much cleanup will cost, but there are unconfirmed reports that he won’t be let into the house until he’s at least been hosed down.

Puppy Spends All Morning Building Snowman

With a fresh coat of snow on the ground, an intrepid pup name Sprocket went to work in his backyard building the ultimate snowman.

“He was out there all afternoon,” reported Mia Bixley, the dog’s nextdoor neighbor. “I’ll admit, the snowman isn’t really all that big, but for such a small dog… I guess I’m pretty impressed.”

According to Bixley though Sprocket is done with his snowman, he hasn’t come inside yet. As best she can tell, he’s working on some sort of igloo now.
