Friends: Newly Rich Puppy Not Spending Wisely 

Ralphie, a Cocker Spaniel / Poodle mix from New York City who has over 4,000 fans on Instagram, recently signed a six figure book deal with Chronicle Books. But friends are worried that the dog not using his newfound wealth wisely.

Sources tell The Fluffington Post that Ralphie has blown through nearly half his advance, spending extravagantly on luxury items like solid gold tags, car, first class flights, and Versace collars.

“I’m worried about him,” said one friend. “I mean, he was given this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to start building this lasting brand around the book and I’d hate to see him screw it up.”

A group of Ralphie’s friends are planning an intervention next week.

Dog Refuses to Come In Out of the Rain

According to local news reports, a puppy is refusing to come out of the rain. 

The dog, a Shiba Inu, went out to play a few hours ago and was called inside when a handful of rain squalls blew through the area. But he refused, instead opting to stay outside and get drenched.

“He’s being quite cheeky about it,” said to Tammy Culpo, a field reporter for the local NBC affiliate, who indicated during her last update that the puppy has been making faces at those inside for the better part of an hour.

Dog’s Diet Off to Rocky Start

A Chihuahua named Hamilton vowed to kick off his new diet on April 28th in the hope of shedding a few ounces in time for swimsuit season.

“He had a smoothie for breakfast and an egg white sandwich for lunch,” his roommate Samuel Riley tells The Fluffington Post. “But by 3 p.m., I found him in the snack closet, neck-deep in a bag of Cheetos. It was his look of utter regret that really got to me.”

Dog Training for Next NASA Mission

Move over Laika: one ambitious chihuahua is currently engaged in a rigorous training program in hopes of being considered for NASA’s next space mission. Pico, the dog in question, has been putting in hours a day on physical conditioning, including several stints in zero-gravity simulators. 

Trainer Allen Divers said Pico has the right stuff.

“He’s strong, he’s tough, and he’s smart,” Divers said. “By the time they’re ready to have astronauts join the Curiosity Rover on Mars, I think there’s a good chance that Pico’s going to be in that crew.”
