Aspiring Police Dog Catches His Tail

Sparky the dog has always known that he was destined for a life in law enforcement, and enrolled in the police academy last spring. This morning, The Fluffington Post has learned that the puppy already caught his first perp, weeks before graduation.

After a grueling chase, Sparky successfully apprehended his tail.

Brad Brody, a fellow aspiring police officer, explained how the arrest went down.

“Sparky’s always been very suspicious of his tail; all that wagging that he couldn’t quite see or control really put him on edge,” Brody said. “We were out in the yard today and he launched a sting, trying to catch the tail unawares. The tail tried to escape, but Sparky immediately gave chase.”

Sgt. Tony Reynolds, who visited the crime scene after the catch, said Sparky’s pluck showed lots of promise. “He’s a young guy, but he’ll be a top police dog one day.”

It’s unclear whether the tail will be charged with anything or whether this was more of a “catch and release.”

Dog Regrets Watching Horror Movies Before Bed

Pibble, a puppy from Saskatchewan, Canada, thought he was a tough guy. He didn’t think anything would scare him. Then he ran into The People Under the Stairs on Blu-ray. 

“He was hiding under the cushions after about 15 minutes,” said roommate Sully Keyes. “I think he would have been okay if I didn’t send him to bed right after it ended. Boy did he have nightmares… howling in his sleep all night.”

According to Keyes, Pibble has vowed not to watch any more horror movies so close to his bedtime.

“And it wasn’t even that scary,” he said. “I think he might have just freaked out if it had been a classic like Halloween or Rosemary’s Baby.”

EXCLUSIVE: First Look Inside the New Star Wars Movie

The Fluffington Post has obtained an exclusive casting photo from the new Star Wars movie, Episode VII, due in theaters next year. The photo depicts two of the main characters in the Star Wars universe, Yoda and Princess Leia.

“I think it’s a pretty startling image for purists,” said Entertainment Weekly associate film editor, Kathy Iazzetta. “Carrie Fisher looks totally different than she did in the 70s and 80s. Not bad, but I mean, I didn’t recognize her at first, so I’m not sure about continuity. And they’re doing Yoda with CGI now and you can tell it’s a really different aesthetic.”

Still, while some fans are nervous about the direction director J.J. Abrams – who is also helming the Star Trek franchise – might take the movie, most are excited to get a sneak peek.

“I really can’t wait,” said Star Wars super fan Dean Howarth. “I plan to get a place in line at my local cinema in July or August. It’s gonna be awesome.”

The movie is scheduled to hit theaters on December 18, 2015.
