Local Dog Takes Fitness Seriously

Truco, a Labrador Retriever from Montreal, Canada, is serious about staying in shape.  "He jogs at least three to four miles per day,“ said Coleen Morgenstern, a close friend to the pup.   According to Morgenstern, Truco has recently been adding a series of windsprints as a warm up to his afternoon jog and get his heart rate up.

"Rain or shine he’s out there,” said fellow jogger Paul Ludlow.  "Once he straps on those headphones, he’s in the zone… he’ll go for an hour before he even breaks a sweat.“

Pitbull Pups Plan Summer Vacation

With school finally out, pitbull puppy Sookie and her friends are looking into some fun summer activities.

“Kayaking is high up on the list,” says Amanda Fisher, who’s known Sookie since the second grade. “I’m trying to talk her out of a paragliding excursion.”

Dog Steps on Crack, Mother’s Back Unaffected

A local dachshund was concerned about his mom when he inadvertently stepped on a crack in the pavement during a walk.

“He always thought that if you ‘step on a crack, you break your mother’s back,’ ” explains Kent Fogel, reciting the children’s playground rhyme. “He called his mom shortly after and she was fine. It was a big relief.”

OCD Pup Demands Perfect Grass

A French bulldog named Otto can be somewhat particular when it comes to lawn care.

“He’ll get right down in the sod to make sure that every blade is cut to the same height,” says Jeff Kelly, a source close to the situation. “If even one blade is too long or out of place, you’d better back up.”
