College Pup Licks Calculus Homework
Dexter, a french bulldog enrolled at the local community college, has reportedly licked his calculus homework. That’s not a euphemism for finished quickly or did it really well – he actually licked his homework.
According to his roommate, Annie Baldessari, who spoke to The Fluffington Post by phone, Dexter had recently spilled barbecue sauce all over calculator. At least, that appeared to be an accident.

Minneapolis Dog Paranoid About Yellow Snow
The old adage “don’t eat the yellow snow” could not be more poignant for Louis, a Minneapolis shih poo who ventured out into the first wintry weather of the season.
“Snow is one of his favorite snacks,” says Amelia Schroeder, a source close to the situation. “But ever since the ‘incident’ two years ago, he’s really paranoid about the yellow stuff. Now he inspects every clump thoroughly before chowing down. It used to take him about 20 minutes to eat all the snow off the deck. Now it’s more like an hour.”

Area Dachshund Excels at Voice Lessons

Sam, a 6-year-old Dachshund originally from Texas, is the most recent star of Diva Voice Studios, according to his teacher, Alisa. Although he was originally attracted to lessons at the studio so he could improve his karaoke performance of Elvis Presley’s “Hound Dog,” in recent weeks, he’s discovered a passion for Hank Williams. Sam even plans to record a cover album early next year, featuring one original composition by Sam himself: “You Can’t Hide Your Snout Away.”
Sam has been described as a vocal prodigy. “At first, we worked on diction, enunciation, and reducing his Southern drawl,” Alisa Wilson, director of the studio noted. “But he rapidly surpassed my expectations and I think he’ll be ready for solo work soon. His sense of tone is one of the best I’ve worked with, and he has two great, floppy ears.”
Jack Darby, Sam’s downstairs neighbor, admitted, “At first, I was annoyed by his constant practicing, but in recent weeks he’s gotten a lot better at scales.” At press time, Sam was getting sniffs and bites of interest from local record company Snout Jam Records, though it was unclear whether this was official or related to the office poodle, Rex.

Dog Starts Beatles Cover Band
Local dog Rusty has quit his job as a wedding singer to follow his dream of starting a Beatles cover band.
“They’re called The Rubber Souls,” says band manager Luke “Dizzy” Novick. “Only three pups in there now, we’re looking for the right Ringo. But they’ve got a great sound. If you close your eyes, you’d think you were at the Ed Sullivan show in 1964. Except with dogs singing.”
