Golden Retriever Picks New Best Friend

After months of paw-wringing, a golden retriever puppy named Riot has formally announced his new choice for BFF (Best Friend Forever).

A statement released from Riot’s office Saturday afternoon read: “His name is Pig, and he’s the greatest. Going forward, Riot and Pig will be inseparable. Activities will include sniffing things, digging in the mud and kayaking.”

Even since the announcement a short time ago, the pair has been photographed together on a number of outings.

Bulldog Pup Voices Concern Over Oscar Snubs

Thursday’s announcement of the 2013 Oscar nominees left some moviegoers excited, others scratching their heads. One English bulldog puppy has raised more than an eyebrow.

“Where was Ben Affleck’s directing nod?” asks Rick Gomez, a spokesperson for the pup named Harleigh. “Argo was a superbly crafted film. Harleigh has seen it three times, and she is just incensed that Affleck was not recognized.”

Sources confirm to The Fluffington Post that a strongly worded letter to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is forthcoming  in which Harleigh will make her case for 14 actors and seven directors who did not make the cut this year.

Puppies Confirm Construction Project Is On Schedule

Corgi builders Wolfgang, Hambone and Cupcake, of Three Corgis Developments, held a press conference this morning to dispel rumors that their CuddleDome construction project had fallen behind schedule and gone over budget.

“They assured the public that the project is moving forward as planned and will meet its May completion date,” said Thom Yasmuz, a reporter for the NY Daily News who has been covering the project since its inception.  The $310 million CuddleDome will be the world’s largest indoor cuddling arena when it opens later this year in Brooklyn, NY.

According to Yasmuz, the dogs did admit that reports of excessive napping on the job were accurate, but assured that they had built plenty of napping time into their initial project plans.  "There’s a lot of napping going on over there,“ said Yasmuz, "but they don’t see it as excessive.”

Indeed.  Wolfgang reportedly had trouble keeping his eyes open during the press conference.
