Dog Complimented on Naturally Windblown Fur

Following a recent beach outing, a Brussels Griffon puppy named Merce was delighted to be complimented on her fur. Her friends couldn’t believe that it wasn’t an expensive salon look.

“The naturally windblown thing really suits her,” said stylist Dana Fukudome. “You’d pay up to $70 for that in my boutique.”

The dog might end up paying for it after all. Because beach season is coming to a close, Merce is considering taking weekly trips to the hairdresser to keep her coat looking “natural." 

"It will be worth it,” said Lizzie Dozier, a close friend. “She’s been getting so many looks from the fellas. What’s a few bucks a week to keep that confidence boost going?”

Dog Unwinds with Glass of Wine and Rom-Coms on Netflix

A local dog named Marci has settled into something of a regular evening routine. After a long workday chasing squirrels and retrieving thrown tennis balls, Marci likes to unwind by curling up on the couch, pouring herself a glass of wine and watching romantic comedies on Netflix streaming. 

“The selection isn’t great,” said Tara Watson, Marci’s roommate, “but she doesn’t mind.”

According to Watson, the pup watched 13 Going on 30 and Emma last night, paired with a nice Merlot, and has plans to watch She’s All That and Runaway Bride this evening. 

“She’ll probably crack open something smooth, like a Camenere or Chianti, for Richard Gere,” said Watson.
