Winston, a local ferret seen here sitting in his hammock, is reportedly having a devil of a time deciding if he should nap now or later. On the one hand, he’s already in his hammock and napping would be as easy as closing his eyes. Vacationing Polar Bear Can’t Get Enough Sun
Willie, a polar bear from the Arctic Circle, has been vacationing in Hilton Head, SC since last Thursday. He’s scheduled to go home tomorrow morning and he just can’t get enough sun. Sid and Nancy Olafsson, year-round residents of the island, tell The Fluffington Post that Willie has been outside tanning from sunup to sundown since he arrived. STUDY: Most Skunks Just Want to Be Loved
According to a study from the Le Pew Research Center, skunks are mostly just looking for a little companionship. "Our research indicates that skunks crave affection. They’re generally very friendly creatures and they just want to hang out and socialize,“ said lead researcher Alison Feliz. "Unfortunately, they stink. Like, really, really stink.”

Baby Alpaca Makes Cover of ‘Hoof Magazine’
It’s official. The highly anticipated cover of Hoof Magazine will feature Fifi, an adorable baby alpaca from the Golden Spirit Alpaca Ranch in Odessa, FL.
“It was a really tough decision this year,” says Grant Wild, executive editor at Hoof. “There were some beautiful giraffes in the running, and a great story about a cow who started her own clothing line. But in the end, Fifi was just too photogenic to pass up."
Critics Cheer for Hedgehog Ballet
The New York Philharmonic, in partnership with the New York City Ballet and Lincoln Center, have successfully staged a production of Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet with an all-hedgehog cast. And critics are raving.
“It’s literally the most fun I’ve had at the ballet in 10 years,” Malcolm Fitzgerald wrote in his review for DanceWorld magazine. “It’s modern, it’s fresh, and – let’s face it – hedgehogs in tutus are damn cute.”
