Kitten Completes Record Number of Chin-Ups

Last Thanksgiving, Duchess the cat was made the butt of family jokes when she was unable to complete even one chin-up. This year, she’s been training hard to make sure that doesn’t happen again.

The kitten has been doing Crossfit four days per week since June in an attempt to build up strength. Yesterday, she completed a personal best seven chin-ups.

“We’re really proud of her,” said trainer Tamara Cole. “When she first joined the gym she was this little bit of a thing who could barely even pull herself up onto the bar. Now she’s hard as a rock.”

Area Cat Gives Up on Ikea Furniture Assembly

When Simon the cat purchased the Eindgertål kitty tower from IKEA, he assumed assembly would be a snap. Unfortunately, when he tore into the box, he found that he was missing four of five screws necessary to finish putting it together.

“Allegedly. Allegedly they were missing,” said Kaley Akewu, Simon’s roommate. “I’m not sure I buy that story.”

According to Akewu, the cat insists that the box was just short a few of the screws and pegs needed to snap together the tower.

“But have you seen those things?” she said. “They’re like a kitty wet dream. I’m pretty sure Simon just couldn’t resist the urge to bat them around the house and lost a few of them under the couch.”

Regardless of wether Simon lost the parts due to uncontrollable feline instinct, or he was stiffed by IKEA, he’s reportedly given up on the project.

Cat Unsure How to Use Webcam

A viral video a cat named Augustus using – or trying to use – Skype has been making the rounds on YouTube this week. The kitty’s escapades as he tries in vain to position the webcam and can’t seem to figure our how to turn down the volume on his computer’s mic has already racked up 3 million views.

“ROFL… I just spit soda all over my keyboard… XD,” read one comment.
