STUDY: Kittens Don’t Understand Non-Touch Computer Interfaces
By now you’ve probably seen the video of the human child who can’t figure out why a paper magazine doesn’t work like an iPad. It has been viewed over 3.4 million times on YouTube. Futurists have pointed to it often over the past few months as evidence of the changing norms in media consumption. But new research out of the Feline Computer Interaction Institute has found that today’s kittens – most of whom have grown up in a completely post-PC world – also find non-touch interfaces baffling.
