Local Kitten Dispels Rumors He’s an Otter
As if being abandoned in a rose garden wasn’t hard enough, Ollie the Kitten has faced a number of accusations that he is in fact an otter.
“These rumors are baseless,” said Ollie’s publicist at a press conference Thursday afternoon. “When the blogs get wind of something, they hammer it until everyone thinks it’s so. The fact is, Ollie is 100% kitten. We have the birth certificate.”

ADOPTION ALERT! Prudence the Cat Needs a Good Home
Prudence is a beautiful five-year-old Norwegian Forest mix patiently waiting for her new family to find her. She is friendly and affectionate, and loves scratches around her face and back.
Despite her affinity for attention, she is very sensitive about being touched near her stomach and having her feet off the ground. Perhaps when she is in a loving and permanent home, she will become more accustomed to all types of attention.
She appreciates being loved when she’s in the mood, but too much handling can cause her to get a bit fussy. She’ll let you know when that time has arrived. As with all long-haired cats, special attention should be given to her glamorous coat, and she should be routinely groomed.
Prudence would do best with an experienced adopter with children older than 12. Prudence is spayed and up-to-date on all vaccinations. The ASPCA also includes a microchip and free follow-up vet exam. If you’re in New York City, stop by the ASPCA Adoption Center and take your new best friend home today!

20-Pound Cat Has Fallen and She Can’t Get Up
A cat named Vegas took a spill Thursday evening and spent the entire night on her back.
“I found her Friday morning just laying there,” her roommate Amie Hart tells The Fluffington Post. “She seemed fine – just too lazy to move.”
Vegas remained sprawled out for most of the morning until it came time for breakfast. “I had to call my boyfriend to help me roll her over,” says Hart of the 20-pound feline. “She didn’t seem embarrassed. She went right for the Fancy Feast, like nothing even happened.”
