Cat Accuses Carley Rae Jepsen of Plagiarism

By now you’ve probably heard Call Me Maybe, the mega hit pop song from Carly Rae Jepsen, or one of hundreds of parodies popping up around the web.  But you probably haven’t heard of Flinders the Cat, a recording artist from Glens Falls, NY who alleges that Jepsen lifted her song without credit.  

According to a lawsuit filed at the Glens Falls City Court, Flinders and Jepsen were recording partners in the mid-2000s, but fell out in 2009 after a dispute over a jingle contract for Fancy Feast cat food.  It is around this time that Flinders says Jepsen stole the lyrics to a song that would later become Call Me Maybe.

The similarities in the lyrics provided in court documents are indeed uncanny.  Jepsen’s version reads:

Hey, I just met you,
And this is crazy,
But here’s my number,
So call me, maybe?

While Flinders’ original is:

Meow meow mrooow meow,
Meooow meow meow,
Mew mew meow mrow,
Meow meow, mew meow?

Legal experts expect that Jepsen will settle before the case goes in front of a judge.

Kitten Assumes Control of Hallway Construction Project

After months of setbacks and delays, the household council has appointed a new foreman to take over the hallway relocation project.  Zamba, a kitten, plans to implement a number of time saving and cost cutting measures that should get the project back on track and completed on time for the new school year in late August.

The ambitious undertaking, which will relocate the existing hallway between the living room and dining room to the other side of the kitchen for better traffic circulation near the downstairs half bathroom, has been fraught with delays since ground was broken late last year. 

“We’re happy to put the past six months behind us,” said household council member Trip Galloway. “We have 100% confidence in Zamba and his ability to get this project back on track.”

Kitten Swears Her Feet Are Shrinking

“She swears she’s always been a size eight,” said Tom Morgan of his best friend, Annabelle the kitten, who on Thursday morning discovered that she no longer fit in her favorite pair of shoes.  "I’m not totally buying it, though.  I’ve known Annabelle her whole life, and I’m pretty sure her feet were never that big.“

According to Morgan, Annabelle realized something was amiss when her entire body fit inside her shoe rather than just her right foot. "That was her first tip,” he said.  

Annabelle has since ordered a new pair of shoes from Zappos.

BREAKING: Cat Replicates Self

The Fluffington Post has received word from a testing facility in Nevada that a cat named Simon has successfully cloned himself through cell division.

“All of a sudden, another cat was just growing off the side of him,” says Clinton Bezio, a genetic researcher there. “Once fully formed, the cat was identical in size, color – everything. A perfect clone.”

Scientists are still examining the cause of this mutation, but most are in agreement that it’s “pretty awesome.”

Cat Unnerved by Visitor From Alternate Dimension

“Everyone knows mirrors are portals to alternate universes. That’s just a fact,” said Dr. Francis Goldblum in a phone interview.  “What we don’t know is what might come out of those portals.“

While The Fluffington Post could not confirm the validity of “Dr.” Golblum’s diploma, it is clear from the video above that something in the mirror freaked out this cat.   Visitor from another world?

Our guess is… no.
