Cat Protests ‘Rigged’ Ping-Pong Tournament

A cat named Rufus has staged a sit-in on the table of the ongoing Living Room Semi-Finals Ping-Pong Tournament. The cat claims the match is rigged against feline players, who do not have thumbs to hold the paddles adequately, and thus suffer a disadvantage.

“This isn’t just about ping-pong,” says Sally Cornfeld, a spokesperson for Rufus, who could not be reached for interview amid the chaos of the protest rally. “This is about Cats Rights. This is about standing up for what you believe in. Or in this case, sitting down for what you believe in.”

Mom and Kitten Watch 5-Hour Netflix Marathon

When a local kitten named Lulu had to stay home sick from school, her mom Tammy knew exactly what to do.

“They cuddled up and watched cartoons on Netflix for like five hours,” says Ramona Stiles, a source close to the situation. “My Little Pony, Land Before Time, Fern Gully – all the classics. Lulu was feeling better in no time.”

Local Cat is Ready for the Super Bowl

Boris the cat turned two a few weeks ago, which in cat years is 24, and that means only one thing: he can finally have a couple of beers while watching the Super Bowl with friends.

“Last year, when he was one (or about 15), we wouldn’t let him have any beer,” said friend Jeffrey Garfield. “That was hard on Boris, because he’s a huge Giants fan and really wanted to toast their victory.”

This year, said Garfield, the kitty doesn’t care so much about who wins, but he is looking forward to sitting back with friends, eating some nachos and sipping on some brew.
