Local Cat Hits the Gym at Least 4 Times Per Week
How does Tiny the cat keep such a toned and firm physique? Not by accident. It takes a lot of hard work.
“He hits the gym at least four times each week,” said personal trainer Will Freeman. “Mostly we do a lot of strength and agility training. This week, though, we’ve also been focusing on strengthening Tiny’s core.”
To that end, the cat has added 20 minutes of Pilates to his routine.

Kitten Named Captain of American Hide-and-Seek Team
A cat named Lyle from Sioux Falls, SD has been named the caption of the American Hide-and-Seek team in advance of the World Championships next month in Lisbon, Portugal. Lyle has been on the team for 4 years and competed at the 2012 Olympics in London, where the US squad placed just out of medal contention in fourth.
“This year’s team is vastly improved over last year,” said hide-and-seek analyst Jamie Windsor. There has been very little turnover on the team itself – this is essentially the same roster as the 2012 group – but Windsor said the team members have much better chemistry.

Much of that improved team dynamic can be attributed to Lyle. “His leadership is a huge asset to the team,” said Windsor, who thinks the Americans will give the reigning-champion Russians a run for their money at the Lisbon event.
“These cats can hide… and seek,” said Windsor.

Kitten Faces Lifetime Ban for Cuteness Enhancing Drugs
“CEDs are a scourge on our sport,” said Professional Cuteness Association commissioner Randall Spiers last year after signing a collective bargaining agreement with the player’s union that laid out harsh new penalties for those caught taking cuteness enhancing drugs. That’s why Spiers is today considering a lifetime ban for Ruby, a 3-month-old kitten who has allegedly been juicing since joining the league two months ago.
He wants to send a strong message to other cute animals considering cuteness enhancers.
Though Spiers is expected to formally announce Ruby’s punishment later this week, the league is said to have “mountains of evidence” against the cat.
“The real tragedy here is that she didn’t need it. She had so much natural talent,” said ESPN cuteness analyst Marissa Samgold. “Ruby could have been one of the greats.”
The cat is expected to appeal any suspension or ban.
