Guinea Pig Excited for Apple Watch
by Scott Friedstein, FluffPo Correspondent
Apple’s live keynote event was last week, and among those watching with eager anticipation was Maisy the guinea pig.
“She’s been a fan of Apple since the first iPod,” says Craig Sickler, a friend. “She’ll pretty much plan her day around a live event.”
When the hotly rumored Apple Watch was finally unveiled, Maisy could hardly contain her excitement.
“She knew it was coming – and when Tim Cook said ‘just one more thing,’ she almost dropped her MacBook,” says Sickler. “She’ll get it the day it comes out. Does she need one? Probably not. I mean, she’s a guinea pig. That’s never stopped her before, though.”

Guinea Pig Discovers “PiggyCam”
by Scott Friedstein, FluffPo Correspondent
It was only a matter of time.
According to reports, Dexter the guinea pig has finally found the high-tech camera system installed in his cage. Sold commercially as PiggyCam, the setup allows owners and Internet users alike a rare glimpse into the piggy world.
“Yeah, that’s what the box says,” said friend Jeff Cooper. “Truth is, it’s surveillance. Guinea pigs enjoy the same fourth amendment rights that we do. The ACLU would have a field day with this one. ”
Others are less skeptical.
“I don’t see what the problem is, honestly” said Lauren Crump, Dexter’s owner. “I deserve to see all the cute and potentially incriminating things that piggy does when I’m not around – I wonder what he’s up to now.”
Crump was forced to cut our interview short when her PiggyCam Android app began to show nothing but static.

GARDEN TIP: Plant Your Guinea Pigs Now
Spring is finally here, which means it’s time to start planting your cool-weather crops, if you haven’t done so already. Lettuce and broccoli are seasonal favorites, but don’t overlook guinea pigs!
Whether starting from seeds or sprouts, start your pigs in a small pot in a warm, but shady spot. Avoid direct sunlight if possible. Be sure to water your pigs daily, and use plenty of carrot tops, celery and lettuce as fertilizer.
In about 2-3 weeks, you should see some new growth. After the fourth week, your pigs should be ready to transplant into a small pig pen, lined with cedar chips and an exercise wheel. Enjoy!
